Here’s a little bit about me.

TL;DR

I’m fascinated by design, tech, and human nature → I studied cognitive science at Berkeley to broaden my understanding of the three → I then discovered user experience design as a perfect way to breathe life into my interests → My empathetic nature and knowledge of cognitive science has instilled a human-centered approach in all of my work

Nothing lights me up more than finding a solution that changes people's lives for the better.

People-powered curiosity.

I am a product designer with over four years of professional experience.

I leverage empathy-based research and meaningful cross-functional collaboration to break down complex problems, delivering actionable insight and impactful designs.

I’m fueled by a fascination with technology and a tremendous love of people. As a kid, I spent long afternoons taking apart my dad’s old stereo. I wanted to know how everything worked, how all the little pieces fit together to produce such beautiful sounds.

Breaking down complex problems.

Today, I’m still taking things apart, breaking down processes and products to make them better than before. My design philosophy is that technology should not only work for people, but be an unbridled joy to use. Throughout my work as a researcher, designer, and product specialist for a major eCommerce platform, I’ve incorporated this human-centered approach into all of my work.

Your greatest gift is your depth of sensitivity and empathy, which allows you to give voice to universal human emotions in a way that touches people on a profound level.

Defined by an archetype

The Dreamer

According to Creative Types by Adobe, I am The Dreamer. You can read more about this archetype and, by extension, me, by clicking here. It’s kinda cute.

According to Myers–Briggs

The Advocate (INFJ)

If you align with or are curious about Myers-Briggs types, I am an INFJ. You can read more about this type by clicking here. Unlike horoscopes, I align with most of what is said here.

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.

Here’s what I’d like to take on

Challenging the age of anxiety and depression fostered by social media.

As much as I love technology, I think it should inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves and not the worst. Social media can serve as a powerful tool for communication, expression, and business. Still, it should be designed in a way that puts the user's mental health first.

Empowering people to explore, pursue, and monetize what brings them joy.

I firmly believe that people are most kind to themselves and others when they feel useful. If they feel worthwhile doing something they love, you've created a formula for actualization. With a world that is only growing more connected, I want to help fight for open, free, and digital education.

Designing experiences, services, and systems that help the planet.

Climate change isn’t going anywhere. No matter what field you work in, I believe you can always find a way to make a positive impact. Depending on the medium, human-centered design can have a massive, positive impact. Whether it’s through something as small as using darker colors to drain less battery or creating revolutionary LEED buildings, there’s room to help.
